Born in "Cap Caval", on the coast of Finistère, in 1962, drawing and the practice of India ink accompanied me during my high school years; Subsequently, after studying History, I matured my practice and my project, by attending Art Workshops, including the Fine Arts of Quimper, in order to deepen my practice and guide my reflection on it. here, nourishing my gaze and my demands thanks to the artists and teachers I met there. For more than fifteen years, I devote myself, in my studio, to personal work.

I am particularly interested in the in-between, between figuration and abstraction, where personal interpretation dominates, this zone of freedom where the subject tends to fade away in favor of an atmosphere, something else... It seems essential to be able to express through my painting my questions, my feelings.

Painting, very quickly, allowed me to question the relationship to time, which passes, prints and sometimes drags on. In this perpetual movement, it is also the timeless - the quest for what remains, lasts - that appeals to me. I draw my “landscape” subjects. It is also the body, the framework of beings, femininity, the imprint that connects us to the sources of our humanity, that I question... As my practice progresses, a thin thread has woven between these two subjects, the earth and the human, especially the feminine. Each painting allows me to approach this adventure, taking on the passage of feelings and intimacy. It is only after working on the material, on the line that traces, sometimes gets lost, then comes together to sketch the subjects, that postures, gestures, movements, energy can finally emerge.
